Amarah Hernandez (she/her, b. 1992) is a California desert native now rooted in San Francisco. Her personal work spans short fiction and narrative photography, touching on themes of humanism, phenomenology, and the contemplation of home and belonging.

Amarah owns Beacon Coffee & Pantry, a cozy, eclectic space in North Beach, where she creates what she believes every neighborhood needs—a third space where people can gather, share stories, heal, and organize. Beacon hosts monthly community-care workshops, art events, serves coffee with care, and stocks a selection of thoughtfully-made goods from independent makers and publishers, all in the spirit of celebrating community voices and connections.
